Several of his videos have been linked over the last year or so. I hold his advice in pretty high regard.

If you don't want to pay Bodum prices, the Ikea French Press represents great value and is quite sturdy too.
Plus the added bonus of a super duper, cheapo, meat ball meal.

I really liked this video of his: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU1y7hBSgiY
Bit of a life lesson really - chasing perfection can leave you disappointed, so it's good to sit and drink a 'bad coffee' without being too critical, so you can appreciate how far you have come.

I liked his one about icecream perfection for a affogatto. Would like to try making it, sounds very yummy.

Love his videos, also really nice impartial reviews of coffee equipment, as he mostly buys stuff through his Patreon and then gives them away to people who donate. Other than that he is a very witty and engaging presenter with a super coffee brain, also like that he is not just about pure science and TDS levels and such.

This is one of the main reasons I watch some of his reviews/thoughts.

    I find his hair distracting

I agree that although that video was just a monologue itís one of his best. Itís a great mantra that Iíve tried to remember since then - ďdrink the bad coffeeĒ.

That's either the best head of hair I've seen in a while , or the worst wig I've seen in a while .

Fortunately we don't measure a persons intelligence by the way their hair is done.

    Hair is overrated.
All that shampooing, conditioning, cutting, styling, dyeing, combing, brushing, stressing about losing...
I'd settle for feeling and looking great without it.

    Ps and a comfortable cap.

James Hoffman is the guy behind Square Mile Roasters in the UK and also ex World Barista Champion. I like the video he did recently where he tasted 40 year old coffee. Not sure I'd have done that.

Call me a cynic, but I think James Hoffman's gravity defying hair owes more to genetics than to hair products.

Ps not convinced? Save a quid and first watch "There's something about Mary".
