    Happy New Year 2009

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight

    Happy New Year CSrs

2008 has been a great bean year, we managed to share something like 20 tonne of beans between us (brown and green) and welcomed many new CSrs to our little corner of the Internet.

I love how great a community feel we have, everyone welcomes newbies to the fold and we are all only too happy to help anyone on their journey to better coffee. From mastering a new machine or modifying an old one to learning to roast and exploring your palate we all do it well and we have a lot of fun along the way. Like a doting dad, Im really proud of how good natured CSrs are and it regularly restores my faith in the human race. If only our world leaders roasted coffee we could change the planet!
    :)

I expect 2009 will be an even bigger year for us, we have lots of great things in the pipeline and our focus is always the same... "make great coffee better, share, care, teach, learn, explore and enjoy the experience".

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO COFFEESNOBS EVERYWHERE

Remember those you miss, enjoy those you have and may 2009 bring you all peace, love, happiness and of course great coffee.

    Enjoy!

Welcome to CoffeeSnobs Sawaya. *Not too sure this is the right place to answer (you really should post the question under the brewing equipment categories)
    http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?catselect=Equipment

The Rancilio Classe 8 2 group is a good commercial machine made by a company with a very long espresso machine history. *

How much is it worth second-hand? *Not much if Coca Cola or one of the big boys still own it! *From the machines we see go through CoffeeSnobs, second hand ones will fetch between $500 and $1000 per group, so I would guess $2000 would be about all you will get.

Which milk? *Which ever you like!

    Happy New Year Sawaya.

    Happy New Year V.

PS: If I start bathing in espresso Im sure Ill get locked-up.

Happy New Year to Andy and all CSers, I have got so much joy out of being a CS member and being able to share my pleasure in exploring the bean and all of its variables, if I have ever had a problem a quick post on CS and help is at hand very quickly from our very knowledgable members only too willing to help and nurture us as we go on our coffee journey.
Home roasting has opened up an amazing array of tastes and aromas and taught me so much about the little green bean.
Have a great New Year and may 2009 be a special year for all CSers and their families.

Have a wonderful and safe start to 2009 everyone! See you all in the new year!

Here Here and dont forget the upgrade-itis that is sure to spread across the year.

I for one have been bitten and now it is just the choice that is the hard part.

    Re: Happy New Year 2009

    Happy New Year everyone!

In between everything thats been happening lately Ive spent a little time reflecting on 2008. *It sure was a biggy for me, leaving a secure, well-paid job to become a full time coffee roaster. *There were plenty of days at the start when the days takings wouldnt have covered the cost of a sandwich at the local shops, and without Sues constant support and encouragement, I know the business wouldnt have survived.

Customers who were willing to take a risk and try my coffee kept coming back for more, and I appreciate their ongoing support. *They have also been my marketing team, by referring new customers, and so, the business grows. Thankyou so much - I love roasting coffee for you!

Andy, Chris, Serge, and Jason have also been supportive, in more ways than I can say. *My thanks to all of you as well.

There have been lots of coffee highlights for me in 2008. *Roasting coffee with Serge then Scottie Callaghan; the CS events we hosted through the year; picking up a few small wholesale accounts (keep em coming); the instant coffee auctions, and winning a couple of medals in the Golden Bean Awards.

Im also very pleased to announce that I now have a business partner whose name is Michael. *Michael has been a customer pretty much from the day we opened, and shares my passion for great coffee. Michael will take a very active role in the business so Im sure it wont be long before you meet him when you come into the shop.

In 2008, cuppacoffee donated around $650.00 to FairCrack, most of which came through sales of the Aeropress. *Andy doesnt know it yet, but 2009 is going to be even better! *Whether it be a shot of espresso or an order for 100kg, with the opening of the new shop cuppacoffee will contribute a percentage of ALL coffee sales.

So, thanks again to you all, and we hope that your year is filled with joy....and a cuppacoffee! :)

    cheers
    Den and Michael

Absolutely agree FW. Terrific to hear of great things come from the team at cuppacoffee... best of luck Den, Sue and Michael.

And a huge Happy New Year Andy and all CSers out there... best wishes for a top year, many successful roasts and quests to that perfect cup.

    Cheers, Andrew
