...just a thought depending on the venue...

it might be a chance to save some dollars on bean freight too.

We can ship into Sydney in bulk for far better rates and the Sydney CSrs could pickup their poll beans from the Cafe day.

Tobys Estate has a nice setup at Chippendale. Cafe food, coffee beans, coffee machines, coffee accessories, many and varied teas and a roaster the size of a Torago out the back *:) Dont know what they would think about a bunch of CoffeSnobs landing on their doorstep, but Im sure they would have hosted tours before...

Andrew Gross hosts roasting mornings most Saturdays. I still havent gotten off my arse and gone to one *:-[ but Im sure they would appeal to the majority of CS members. Not sure if official cafe days have to be at an actual cafe? ie Im assuming Andrews roasting facility is more like a big shed than a working cafe... We could bring a plate *:)

Campos is great coffee but smallish and usually super busy so not great for any sort of extended stay and coffee talk.

If Tobys were amenable then they do have a great setup in the one location.

Hmm...Now that I think about it, it doesnt necessarily have to take place at a cafe. We can just have a roast-a-rama, and bring snacks. It would also be nice to tour a roaster. These are just a few options.

One word of note; if the gathering is to be held on a Saturday, Im only available for the next couple of weeks, then all of my Saturdays are taken up by work.

Andrews place is good... been there a few times now. Plenty of space, plenty of toys - what more could you ask?

In fact it seems there is a meet there tomorrow... probably a little too late on the notice side for most, but its normally a weekly occurrence - fortnightly at the outside.

    Hi all
If its at Erskineville on the 21st I will be able to attend.
Do please bring the GeneCafe JM. Im considering getting one so being able to get a look at one will be worthwhile.
