    Daily Mail, UK coffee article

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
The word snob crops up often. This has caused some friction... due to the comments made on the topic by a commercial roaster. Wonder if the backlash from homeroasts will be like the Jyllands-Posten cartoon :p

The discussion on Ben Szobodys blog is fascinating & roguish as always. Worth bookmarking. As well as that crazy food scientist James Hoffmans (Im envious of his food science knowledge and the dude can pull a mean looking shot and take some cool pictures to boot...)

That Steven Macatonia sure is a snob. ;)
I wonder if hes shot himself in the foot?

I know Hazel suggested I try homeroasting before I ever mentioned it to her.
Ive only bought one lot of green beans since but its nice to know the option is available.

Today when I popped in to show off my new bottomless portafilter she made me a coffee and we discussed additional cooling for her roaster as summer is creeping up and she also asked me how much I knew about heatguns as shes thinking of going that way with sample roasts that are too big for her popper and obviously way too small for the commercial size roaster.

Its attitudes like hers that grow the industry.
    Attitudes like his dont.
