    BeanBay roast date oops...

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Roast day today and pretty much right at the end of all the roasting Paula said to me "you do know its the 21st today?"

    Doh!

I had 20th Sept on all the stickers.

So for those of you getting beans in the post, its not a day older, I just lost a day somewhere.

    Doh!

I had 20th Sept on all the stickers.
Added to the long list of Doh! moments we have, eg.,:

    1. Had the wrong month on the stickers
    2. Listening intently for 2nd crack, leaned in, and burnt my head
    3. Loading beans, leaving the drum door open to have them immediately pour over my last roast
    4. Contemplating picking out said green beans from the roasted ones
    5. Running out of gas 2 minutes before end of roast
    6. Hot roasted bean stuck in my sandal strap
    7. Spilling half a roast over the floor while packaging

Fortunately, did not all happen on the same day.

Well despite the Dohs and although this is a little off topic, I ordered 10kg of greens, some bags and a CS card about a month ago (my first order after the sample bag). I got a nice email saying it would take another day to make the card (which you also kindly pointed out on the Bean Bay site. The delivery arrived well within the expected time, beautifully packed, all correct with very cool packing tape. The delivery lady loved the smell and since I have been roasting like mad and loving every minute of it. So, long story short, thanks heaps Andy - EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!!

    Pete :)

I feel better already, far less explanation needed for a being a day out!

I think Ive also managed the rest of your list (some more than once!) with the exception of burning my head and roasting in sandals.
    ;D

Dropping a green roast into a brown roast is how I think the Nestle marketing team came-up with the idea of their "green blend"

Andy i think youve got the wrong terminology there for Nestle...

i believe the word you should be using for anything coffee related from them would be cremation and not roast

    So...
its less than 2 months ago that I did that roast day oops and guess what?

Yep, did it again!* I have just finished roasting in the "time machine" and all the labels say "19th November"

    Doh!* :-[

I set the "next roast date" to the 19th in BeanBay so that it shows on all the roasted bean pages and then promptly went and put the same date on the stickers... all day and only noticed as I sealed the last one 10 minutes ago.

    How hard Andy?* Sheeze!
    :P

Anyway, most of you will get the coffee delivered before it was roasted... now thats fresh!
    ;)

Is your roaster bigger on the inside than on the outside?

I just received my future roasted beans.

Andy youve always been super efficient when it comes to deliveries, but to receive beans 4 days before theyve even been roasted is a great achievement... ;D
