    Tis the season...

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Tis the season...
...to be overfed, over hydrated and joyous.

2011 has been an emotionally turbulent year.* From the low point of the floods of QLD, NSW and VIC at the start of the year to the highlight when one of our Tanzanian FairCrack projects won a silver medal in the Golden Bean competition.* We share those emotions together, as friends and family.* Those lows and highs really hold a special place for me.

Of course, this year was full of great coffees too.* We met lots of excited new CoffeeSnobs just starting their journey and the older, wiser CS’rs welcomed them with open arms, tips and tricks to improve their coffee and their coffee processes.* Next year those same “new CoffeeSnobs” will be sharing their knowledge with the newbies that wander into our little corner of the Internet.* It’s a great circle of knowledge, sharing and learning for all of us.

Yesterday I landed an excellent Aceh and a really nice Kenyan, these will appear in the mid-Jan Bean Bay green sale and those who a hopping from foot to foot waiting for the Behmor roasters can track the ship using this link:
    http://aprs.fi/?call=APL%20AMAZONITE&mt=roadmap&z=6&timerange=604 800&_s=ss_call
ETA to the docks is still 31st Dec at 3am

Thanks to all the wonderful people in our community for another great year.* I hope that the same spirit shines through in 2012 and beyond.

However you celebrate Christmas and the New Year please do so safely, with love and of course great coffee.

    Enjoy!

    * Andy.

A big thank you to you Andy for providing coffee lovers, obsessives and afficionados with a flatform to increase and share their knowledge of all things coffee, it was a pleasure to meet you at Beanology this year, it was such a brilliant concept and much appreciated by all the attendees, see you in Sydney in 2012 :) :) :) :)

Merry Christmas and all the best to everyone for the New Year.

We did weather (pun intended!) changes here and whilst it was sad to see some changes to our team, it was also awesome to see others.

I hope that everyone enjoys their Christmas, however you spend it.

Special thanks to Andy, Scoots, Java and Di for providing*us with a place to banter about our obsession with like minds (and not feel like freaks!) ;)

Take care everyone and a very Merry Christmas to you all.

Many thanks to Andy and the CS team for another great year. The rest of the CS community, may Christmas and the New Year be full of all the things you find pleasurable in life including, of course, great coffee.

My thoughts and prayers to our friends across the ditch in Aotearoa, the shaky isles. You have had more than your fair share of bad fortune since before Christmas 2010. Hopefully 2012 will turn out to be a better year.

    Re: Tis the season...

And to you all, a very merry Christmas also! Ive finally had 5 minutes to myself, in between a 5 year old son trying to pepper me with Nerf bullets from his new pump action rifle, to a husband and daughter trying to give me a haircut with their new RC helicopters. The shortbread is currently in the oven and Ive had MANY coffees today...notice I didnt put a too in front of that!!! ;D A persons got to make up for the fact that she doesnt drink alcohol!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day filled with lots of goodies but, most of all, the company of loved ones, both physically, virtually and in spirit.

    I love youse all... ;)

    Cheers

    Likewise, Mr. F.

Last weekend I roasted a Costa Rica Herbazu which I know is going to be a gem: the roasting room (aka my laundry) had such a delicious aroma for days afterwards and this will be ready for my first fresh roast of 2012 in a couple of days.
Looking at the beans still in my stash, its hard to decide which to roast next.

I hope 2012 brings you all the rewards that you seek

Hope all had a great christmas and a safe start to 2012!

A big thank you to our wonderful "Coffee Guru". Andy, it is a joy to buy beans from you, you spoil us rotten at times, and I look forward to working side by side with you again this year to show the world what it means to be a "Coffeesnob"* :)
