heading down to Fremantle Town Hall for the WA Barista, Latte Art and Cupping comps, should be an action and caffeine packed day. Any Perth snobbers come on down and join in the action from 9am onwards--all comps being run today--could be a long day!!

Ahhh, I forgot all about this.

    Should be a great event!
If the quality is like the WA team produced in Melbourne at Fine Foods I'm sure you are in for a great show.

Latte Art should rock too... The ladies produced a 7 leaf tulip in a mac and an awesome surfer riding a milk wave.

    Trev,

Do u have a link to any timetables?

Tried looking at the AASCA but can't seem to find anything apart from just the date of the event.

Might try to make it there since the Frematle coffee festival seems destined to be drenched in rain tommorow.

Juliana (Bench Espresso) won the Barista competition for the second year in a row, Ronald Ngo (Australian Barista Acadamy) came second followed by Michael Monroe (Standing Room Only).
In the latte art Roy, Rie (trainer for Gloria Jeans) and Gary (roaster/barista at Jahava, Swan Valley)
Cupping finalists were Elisha(Gloria Jeans), Ronald (ABA) and Jonno (Dimattina WA)
congrats to all winners and competitors it was a fantastic action-packed day of competition and great coffee from the espresso and brewbar
big accolades to Kaya McCarthy (Dimattina WA) for her organisational skills--the old Fremantle Town Hall was a brilliant and intimate venue and hopefully we can get this venue for next years comps!!

    Good stuff!
I look forward to seeing the winners (and those that have a second crack) at the Australian National comp.

These coffee puns never stop coming, ey Andy?

I'm not surprised that the lady from Bench did well again. Had several coffees there when visiting Perth in the middle of the year, and they were uniformly superb.

Hi five! Was such fun and loved my first chance at competing. Came in third in the latte art which I was happy with. Think you will probably see me at nationals Andy because I am fairly sure I'm going to go in the opens

Congrats Gary . Good luck in future events. Main thing is to enjoy it and soak in the atmosphere because that's how they can give their best.
Still enjoying your Coffeefusion videos. We reckon you got what it takes to get that title. Next year should be easier for you because you've got this first one out of the way and you know how it all works. As well, the person who holds the top spot has to protect his/her position which is difficult psychologically.
