    SAECO - AUSTRALIA

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Have it on pretty good authority that SAECO Italy have moved an administrator into SAECO Australia.

Might find the supply of San Marino and Mazzer Grinders in short supply moving forward.

Interesting...I need a new grinds tray for the mini. The plastic tabs are very weak....bad design.

    Re: SAECO - AUSTRALIA

It will be very interesting to see what happens with Saeco - the Mazzers are one thing but Im sure someone would take over the importation of them. There are a lot of Saeco owners out there that will be looking for customer support.

Wushoes, the grind tray still catches grinds without the tabs. I know from the one at work that it will sit happily in place, and is actually easier to clean because you dont have to release it, just pick it up.

    Re: SAECO - AUSTRALIA

I found it worked a lot better with the tabs in place.

Saeco does not have an exclusive distribution deal with Mazzer I believe. Anyone can import as long as they meet the minimum order requirements or something like that.

I doubt companies like Diamond C would buy from Saeco....because then theyd have to make a margin from what Saeco sells it to them for.

    Make sense?

Thats my point - the Mazzers arent going to be an issue if Saeco goes under. The Saeco owners are the ones who will be left in the lurch. :)

    Viviane ,

you are correct about Saeco having the administrators moving in - it is business as usual though until it is sorted : apparently Saeco Aus hasnt been paying their bills to Saeco Italy

    :o :o

Woah....I had to re-read this whole thread.

What are those who own a Saeco (like myself) going to do if the place closes down? I have already had my just-over-a-year-old Deluxe back twice. The second time I stood with the technician for over an hour and told him what it was doing wrong and with him fixing it at no cost to me.

This is not happy news at all. :(

Nope , not looking good for Saeco owners - hopefully someone will pick up the franchise.

Must be real by the way... :(

There is a case listed in the Supreme Court (Commercial and Equity Division) where the parties listed are Saeco Australia and Saeco International....

Good luck - hopefully it will work out for you.

I just had to replace my grinds tray for the same reason! A pretty solid machine overall except the grind tray.

Would this potentially impact those of us with a back to factory warranty?

    Re: SAECO - AUSTRALIA

hopefully not....because you have a Saeco Mazzer mini dont you?

If Saeco international takes over...all should be fine....if they dont, just pray Saeco Australia doesnt go under....

By the way....how much did Saeco sell the tray for?

Its actually the minore I was referring to. The Mazzer was sourced outside of CS ... however I learned my lesson. It took 2 weeks for a warranty repair of the spring.

The tray cost $30 from the retailer I bought the grinder through. You may be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.
