There have been miles of questions today, some have been answered well, some have not and most could have been answered by an FAQ.

So lets kick-off the questions in this thread, I will post answers and then we can compile them into a readable faq.

When I answer your question Ill quote it, then delete the original for readability.

Q: Do the coffees in the polls make a profit?
A: No. Due to our ever expanding size we are buying coffee wholesale at really good prices. The calico packaging, delivery from the warehouse, web site and expenses are all added together to make the poll price per Kg.

    Q: How do polls work?
A: Coffee is chosen, members select their requirements in a poll, when the poll closes the member gets an invoice, when the invoices are paid the coffee is bought, divided and delivered.
see the first post in the poll area for more information: http://www.coffeesnobs.com.au/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=NewPolls;action=display;num=1111152 844

If you have a small amount (1 or 2 kilograms) you can sell, trade or swap that in the "beanbay" for free.

If you want to source and supply large amounts then firstly we would need to verify your identity (to protect our members) and you would be charged a flat fee per kilogram of 50cents.

A: Yes and No. Some will sell a small amount but it will often incur the same warehouse / transport fees and some suppliers will only deal in 10-20 tonne (container) amounts.

A: Soon you will be able to order from our stockpile. A growing selection of coffees will be available for next day postage. The price of these will be higher than the poll coffee to cover the higher expenses.

Q: Do I get paid for helping at a bag divide?

A: No, there is no profit. In the future we hope that we can offer the people who help in the process cheaper coffee

    Q: Can I get a sample?

A: Yes, we have limited samples of future coffees. I would like to see a different member per month get sent a sample so they can report back their thoughts. See:
