Changing grind size for stepless grinder

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
As you may have read in my other thread, Im without my machine at the moment and am having to use a plunger or stove top. Both need a coarser grind so Im wondering whether there is anyway to mark on the grinder where the current grind is so I can easily get back there.

I have an ascaso i-home which is stepless.

    Thanks :)

Espresso grind has such a small margin for error that even with a visual mark, you will still need to manually micro adjust the grinder to get it back to where you were.

I thought Moka grind was not much different to espresso?

    Hi Ali,

with my I-Mini I have marked the upper burr carrier (plastic bit) which you can see by dropping the top and the hopper off. This is done so when I do a strip and clean I can start off in the ball park for the correct adjustment. My old IC used to have a scale stuck on the hopper which was a help as well but still with both of these I found it easier to count turns in or out this made Syphon to Espresso fairly easy (18 turns BTW). Problem fixed as I now use a manual grinder for the course stuff at home and the /ascaso gets left on Syphon/Plunger at work :)
