Grinder to use with La Pavoni PR??

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi I am new to this forum and am after some advice.
I inherited a La Pavoni what I think is the domestic/professional PR copper/brass machine ( it is a number of years old but looks like that one on the web site). I have been using a cheap coffee grinder and have only now realised that it is not doing the La Pavoni justice.

From what I have read the Sunbeam0480 would be the very least to start with. What would be the next best up to about $400/500. I had no idea that there were so many different types out there :o and I am not sure I can afford much more than the $200 odd for the sunbeam. But I might be convinced ;)....... I am in WA so any advice on where to go to check out my options would be awesome too. Thanks :) Meagan

    A rocky is priced from $450 - $500

An Iberital challenge or Nemox Lux grinder should be you lowest entry point @ around $300 - $350

Hi Meagan, your a week too late, I just sold my Rocky on CS. If you keep an eye on equipment for sale you might score a well priced Rocky or similar for a reasonable price.

Im tempted to recommend the iberital over the sunbeam, as I found the sunbeam to be a van der graff generator - it would spread and stick statically charged coffee grounds everywhere.

The cleanliness of the iberital might be a function of having a doser though - it seems much cleaner to operate - at least when comparing to the sunbeam.

    cheers
