    Em0480 troubleshooting

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I cleaned my grinder yesterday (according to instructions in manual) and now Im having trouble grinding my beans... the grind adjustment collar pops up and the grind has a small wood-chips consistency where whole beans or half-cut beans also fall through. (this is on 10 grind setting). It then stops grinding.

Everything is seated fine when I go to grind, but its only when it starts grinding that it pops loose.

the grind adjustment collar pops up
Is the locking button showing or has it not popped through its hole to the outside?

I would be very interested to know what happened please. I had the same problem. I removed the collar and found that the grind bevel (is that what you call it??) is supported by three plastic fingers. All were twisted and one had broken. I suspect that this is a design flaw. The Good Guys (eventually) replaced it under warrenty.

    Anyoe else had this problem?

Could have been a Manufacturing problem... Would need to see it and the system to make a guess..

They are plastic... So if any one puts a hard obkect or brush up teh spout to clean.. That can cause issues.
