What Grinder is Best for a Gaggia Classic Coffee Machine

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hey there all, new member here. Am wondering what grinder would suit my Gaggia Classic Coffee Machine. Was going to buy a Delonghi but heard it doesnt grind fine enough. Not sure this is true, hoping there is someone out there that has some knowledge of Gaggia machines.

    Thanks in advance.

I havent seen one of these that can go fine enough for a unpressurised filter basket. A Rancilio Rocky on the other hand does. The Classic is a good machine, get a good grinder!

Delonghis are not up to the job along with several other consumer brands such as Breville and similar.

Minimum $ spend is a 450 or 480 Sunbeam and even then if you can spring for a bit more spend it you wont regret it in the long term.

Best bet is to trawl over this section of the forum and see what users think of a grinder you may be interested in or fits your budget.

    Welcome to CS.

Its not a matter of whether the Delonghi will grind fine enough for your Gaggia its whether it will grind fine enough for any machine.
Opinion here seems to be "no it wont".

    Exactly.

Minimum as beanflying said, is the Sunbeam EM0450 or EM0480.

However, if you spend a bit more youll get better quality and that should mean it will last longer and therefore be better value for money.

I have the Classic set up with the EM0480. It works pretty well but is now suffering from upgraditis with the grinder.

Ditto the guys above and would recommend if you can afford it get something that would last you longer.

If you want something that works straight up and probably will never stop working unless you drop it, and never needs modifying, start with the Iberital Challenge and work up from there.
