    Cleaning Mazzer Mini?

    Ive had my Mazzer for a couple of months now so guess its time for a clean out, did a search but found nothing on pulling it apart and cleaning the burrs etc, rather than flying blind would appreciate any tips or links etc. :)

    id say just unscrew the top burr carrier completely and get a brush in there, brush round the bottom burr too, put er back, give her a kiss and live ur life in joy

    After 2 months I wouldnt do too much more than giving it a good brush and vacuum out. I have had mine for 2 years now and only removed the burrs once in that time.
    I know some think you should do this monthly but others suggest that isnt necessary. I dont go through high volumes of coffee.

    You could try a grinder cleaner tablet like Urnex or Grindz but you will need to run a shots worth or two through the grinder before any residue disappears.

    You need to remove the locking screw off the collar before you can unscrew the burr carrier.

    Something else to watch out for: my MM had white grease *around the thread and I ended up getting grounds stick in this meaning I had to wipe off the thread. A good reason for not to take apart that often.
