Im still waiting for my Sunbeam EM0450

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I placed an order for a Sunbeam EM0450 coffee grinder but it still hasnt arrived at the Harvey Norman after nearly 3 weeks. Apparently its arrived at the warehouse.

I did see they have a Sunbeam EM0430 in the store. I was tempted to cancel the order and buy the EM0430 but I thought Id better wait for the EM0450 that I ordered. Am I correct in assuming it will be worth the wait?

I did see the Sunbeam EM0480 being sold in a couple of places (Big W and Myer) but it is more expensive than what I am paying for the EM0450 and Im still out of work at the moment so I dont want to spend too much more money on a coffee grinder.

Yes the step up in grind quality will be worth it, the step up to the 480 isnt as significant. Now just start saving up your cash (when you get back in work) for a mazzer or macap and you will be set.

OK. I guess Ive got nothing to lose by waiting for my EM0450 to arrive. I suppose if its in the warehouse it shouldnt be too much longer.

    WAIT!

The 430 and 450 are very different beasts.

The 450 and 480 are basically identical inside.

The 450 is a good minimum grinder and is a savings in price from the 480.
I dont understand why you have to wait for it to arrive at the warehouse. There should be quite a few at other stores if you shopped around. The Good Guys would have saved you a few dollars on a 480 if you couldnt find a 450. Got mine for $169 which is a $30 savings from $199.
Anyway, hope it turns out well for you and you are enjoying a good brew now.

Re: Im still waiting for my Sunbeam EM0450

I made a decision today. I found this place that sells a Hario Ceramic Coffee Mill Skerton maunal coffee grinder for $65. So I bought one and I cancelled my order for the Sunbeam EM0450.

I couldve waited a bit longer for the Sunbeam but it was my decision and Ill wear it as they say in the classics. I suppose I can always buy a Sunbeam EM0480 after I get a job.

    oh ok.
Dont forget to eat yer spinach thisguy. Those things certainly builds muscles in your arms. Theyll last a long time under normal use.
They grind consistent particles which will give the Sunnybeam grinders more than a run for their money. As long as you are not in a hurry using it, then youve made a good choice.

I paid $169 for the 480 at Clive Peeters the other day - just asked their best price, and they knocked it down to that from $199. Id just walked out of Myer disgusted that they were charging $219 for it and wouldnt budge, despite me pointing out that the RRP was $199....
