    Rocky Grinder Plastic vs Stainless

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Does anyone have any pictures of or experience with a plastic Rocky? I didnt actually know there was a plastic Rocky until today but it exists according to the Mocopan supplier in Adelaide. I wouldnt consider getting a plastic one except that theyre about $100 cheaper than a stainless version and if theyre the same internals and grind the same I may as well get a plastic one?

    Any thoughts anyone?

Have never seen or heard about a Rocky with a plastic body. Although the SS version is now the most common, there is also a version with a painted metal body. You would expect a distributor to know about these things but if there was ever a plastic clad Rocky it must be several years old. From memory, the painted finish machines were circa $350 when the SS clad model was $415.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for the feedback.

I suppose it comes down to looks vs price then - and if I can get my wife to pay then price isnt an issue ;)
After all, shes the one who wants things to look coordinated in the kitchen ;D

I purchased my Silvia today and am finding that a burr grinder is a must - my grinding in the old Russel Hobbs wizzy thingy is real bad :(
