    Gaggia MDF grinder

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Still new to roasting coffee and learning how to make great espresso so lots of mistakes made before joining CS. Bought a new Delonghi KG100 6 weeks ago thinking it was a good grinder and now find it isnt. Have contacted the shop where bought [ I live in NZ] and also Delonghi as it really isnt good enough to make the grind fine enough unless maybe its modded which I dont want to do. Holiday time so no-one working at Delonghi to get back to me yet. However I see i can buy new the Gaggia MDF grinder with doser in US for USD$151 [half price]. My son lives in Texas so no problem with delivery and have written today to Gaggia to see if warranty would be valid in NZ.
So is this grinder good enough especially at this price or am I not upgrading enough to warrant the cost etc. I would have to take into account that the warranty may not be valid so again should i risk buying if no valid warranty. Any guidance appreciated. Oh I bought yesterday a barely used [ 5/6 times max] Breville Ikon for $60NZ and now need to source the unpressurized baskets once holiday season over .Which is best the Breville Bar Italia 1-2 cup ESP4/51 or the Krups #0907163 both being claimed as good for the Ikon.

Yes nzb- it will be a better grinder than yours.

Presumably, it will be 110V 60Hz and wont like NZ power all that much :-?

If you can get it to run on 240V without shortening its life then go for it.

Its a great little grinder (I have one).
