    Mazzer Grinder from the 1950s

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi Guys, very new to this, so excuse any protocols which I may not be familiar with.

I have a 1950s Mazzer Grinder (see attachment).* It is a real beauty and was given to me to match my Faema Marte machine which I have in my kitchen.

However, the grinder does not have the doser nor the Mazzer name plate on the back of the unit.* Does anyone know whether it is possible to find a replacement or whether there is any other way (say a Mazzer funnel) to make the grinder operational?

Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated.

    Cheers :)

I may be wrong and stand to be corrected but I dont think its a Mazzer

However it looks like you need
1] A Hopper the top bit could have been of made of glass? or an urn type metal one

2] A complete doser (and may be hard to get)

3] New burrs and an electrical check

    Does it run ?

    Mmmm... Craftsmanship 8-)

    Welcome "jaypee".... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Definitely got the makings alright. Hope you can locate the rest of it to make it complete.

Have just reduced the image file size for you mate. If you can keep image attachment file sizes 100KB or below that would be great.

All the best with the resto.... :)

    Hi Koffee Kosmo,

Thanks for the reply. Grinder is definitely a Mazzer. It has the blue label under the machine marked "Mazzer Luigi" with the voltage/wattage etc. I have also checked www.mazzer.com. There is an image of the same grinder but complete on their website. It is known as a "B_50s" Model. I have also contacted Mazzer via email hoping they can provide me with the dosing mechanism or one which is equivalent. Hopper should not be too difficult to find...Glass would be great, but plastic will do.
