    loose part Sunbeam EM0480

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi all, have it set at lowest possible setting and not getting fine grind. Read many of the posts regarding making adjustments to the grinder so i lifted off the bottom plastic section which where held in place by the four screws, and found a small plastic piece on a spring loose. not sure where it goes. Any ideas? Thanks

hi again, Found where the part went. Bizarre - now it seems to grind much finer - did it on around 10 and finer than when I did it before at the lowest. And yes, i did have the top burr seated properly. So thanks for help - sent by the ether i guess. love your work Coffee snobs - no doubt the next step will be roasting my own as im down in the otways 2 hours from melbourne.

The small plastic piece on the spring is the actuator for the electrical cutout so that the grinder wont run with the hopper removed.

Thre is no reason for it to grind finer after pulling it apart and putting it back together unless you changed something. My suspicion is that either:

    a. The top burr was not seated properly or
    b. You removed the bottom burr and when you replaced it there is something under it making it sit higher.
