    Sunbeam EM0480

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi,

I have had my EM0480 grinder for a good 3-4 years now and starting to find I need to adjust the grind more frequently than before, is this a sign that I need to look at replacing the burrs or could it just be the beans I have been getting lately?

    Thanks!

    Jim

The grind adjustment collar on these grinders give inconsistent readings after a bit of use. Mine was all over the place after 12 months of regular use. Not sure if this is what is affecting you but I think it is a common problem with the em0480.

I got sick of wasting coffee with gushers/chokers and upgraded.

I have had mine for about 4 years and have no problems with the grind adjustment collar. Still set to the same as it was when new (Post adding shims).

It is important to completely clean the grinder out regularly as they can retain quite a lot in the chute area.

The only time I had to adjust the grind collar was when starting a fresh bag of beans.

Quieter than the Sunbeam, better grind but harder to clean...

Is that harder to clean for the first time because I read all the reviews about washing it, or just generally harder to keep clean?

Bought one of these yesterday. Its paired with a Sunbeam EM6910. Im still learning the ropes at the moment, but it grinds fine enough for the Sunbeam to pull a decent shot.
