Hmm, Mazzer goodness
Ben Hur comes to mind
You got a licence to drive that beast?
;D ;D ;D
Overcaffeinated yet? How did you wait until the last grinder was packed to unpack this beuty?
I did put a few false entries into the logbook.... otherwise Id still be six months out from using her on my own!!
Its called space :D Well, a combination of space and time. Weve just relocated at work so I had to move our IT infrastructure across. While drinking coffee was high on the agenda, unpacking new toys was a little further down the list :)Originally Posted by 715D4E48555D50637153525759453C0 link=1243383228/5#5 date=1243389336
So whats the mortar and pestle for? Grinder not consistent enough or is that just a solution for clumping? :D
Anyway congrats on the new kit. You make the rest of us envious ;)
You will absolutely LOVE this grinder!
Congrats on the new grinder mate
Should stop upgrade-itis on the grinder part of the kit for a few years
Unfortunately Ive cornered myself into a position where I cant blame my equipment for the taste of my coffee!
The next step in the equation is learning to drive, and while Im generally happy with what I produce Ill splash out on a home barista course shortly to take full advantage of the quality equipment I have. Just needs to be in the home cause I really dont want to lug that brute around Sydney.
With one of these at home I dont think a home barista course is "splashing out" ;D
Wow...congratulations! Its a great grinder and somehow I doubt youll be upgrading any time soon.
It looks like Mazzer has put a new branded grill on the cooling fan.
Enjoy the new toy!
Fair point :DOriginally Posted by 082437312C24291A082A2B2E203C450 link=1243383228/13#13 date=1243407886
Yeah, it sounds like one of our servers starting up - some serious cooling in there.Originally Posted by 003635372036362A16262D2A2A29450 link=1243383228/14#14 date=1243408522
Looks great - and big. What machine have you got with it?
Now, THATS a grinder.... :o
Congratulations Grant, Id love something like this at home too but I dont think our benchtops are strong enough to support one... ;D
Excellent stuff mate... 8-)

I thought it was exclusively for cupping, Grant :-? ;DOriginally Posted by 4E5A41464F4D774C5F4D44444D5A280 link=1243383228/18#18 date=1243414739
Thats funny. I used this grinder for Coffee in Good Spirits 2009. Unscrewed the portafilter fork. Marked on the colar approximate grind settings for plunger and syphon and away I went! No espresso. :DOriginally Posted by 04100B0C05073D0615070E0E0710620 link=1243383228/18#18 date=1243414739
OH wow.. this is one huge grinder!!! Very nice...
Sorry, couldnt resist :)
Ive got her (Bertha maybe?) paired up with a VBM DS. Havent had a real chance to play yet but Im expecting good things.
Funny you should say that, Mal was just suggesting that I should do a cupping course to get the most out of it. Not a bad idea really.Originally Posted by 752A32242F2428212122222A2629470 link=1243383228/19#19 date=1243414967
