    Delonghi KG100

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi all,

I havent used the KG100 for ages. I took it out and gave it a clean today and wanting to use it for aeropress and pour over. However, I find the grind is quite fine even it is on the coursest setting.

Does anyone know, is there any mod that i can do to get a courser grind from it?

    Thanks,

    Tony :)

The Delonghi KG100 is the same as the Solis 166 and the Starbucks grinder. Just rebadged.

I did use a Solis and tweaked it to get a finer grind.

The method I used is outlined at:

You could rotate the other way to grind coarser.

Is it hard to do? It seems hard when I read from the link. Also, is there picture available?

    Tony,

I am not aware of any pictures.

It is a fiddly job as it was not made easy to open up the machine. But it does make it a more useful grinder.

Donít forget to remove the control nob on the side before trying to remove the case. The knob pulls straight out.

With my Breville Smart Grinder it is easy to add or remove shims.

    Barry.
