    Spare EM0480.. What to do?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hey!
I got an EM0480 as bonus when I purchased EM6910 and it has been piling on dust since as I already had a EM0480.

I hear that EM0480 burr wears out in time and may need to be replaced.

So my question is, should I be selling it or keeping in case the burr wears out?

    Thanks!

Sell it - its going to continue gathering dust by the time your burrs wear out. The motor also seems pretty robust and will probably last you a lifetime.

I had the same dilemma but i just kept using them both for different beans. Helps that i can offer decaf to some guests

Yeah I was considering to sell it but currently, Im grinding beans at mode 7 and it used to be 10 (around 6 months ago).
I think thats pretty fast, unless I was using different types of beans.

I will keep it for another few months and see if it wears out fast.

The new one still has warranty btw :(

The one I had took a few months to settle in. The grind number dropped as yours did. I then shimmed it with a Sunbeam-supplied washer, and it was good for years after that.
