Rancilio Rocky starting point / number setting

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi all. Just purchased a Silvia and a Rocky and on the way

I have had both before and remember spending 2-3 weeks getting my grind right

I know they all vary slightly and depends on coffee etc but can anyone give me a

basic starting point / setting for a nice rich dark 10 second shot

Obviously will be a bit of experimenting around from there but may save me a bit of time

    many thanks!

Have you found the true zero point yet?
This is by slowly turning it finer ( without beans) until you hear a slight metal grinding noise. That's your zero point.

After that I went 5 point up and adjust accordingly. My current setting is 2 point above zero but my beans are 3 weeks old now
