    Gum in Mazzer exit chute.

I was cleaning my newly acquired Mazzer Mini E this evening and while removing the grinds from the exit chute I noticed what looks like a piece of chewy stuck to be side of the chute. It blocks about a third of the chute and is quite sticky, enough to be covered in a layer of grinds that can't be removed. Does this sound normal?

This one is solved. What I have found is a clever and simple way to reduce grind retention in the exit chute by reducing the available space. The mod was done by the previous owner.
It would appear to be the better quality South African blue tack
