    Timed/Automatic recommendations for Bezzera BZ99s

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi all.

I'm moving up from a Breville 860 to a secondhand Bezzera BZ99s, that fingers crossed looks great.
So I will need to get a grinder as well. The important thing is it needs to be timed or automatic as my wife has little interest in coffee technique and wants to emulate the grinder mechanism of the 'all in one' Breville.
I'm really happy to go secondhand, but if new the Breville Smart Grinder is probably the obvious choice. But i'd like to get something a bit better if secondhand.
    Budget is around $300.

What do you all think? Thanks.

There’s a mahlkonig vario for sale on this site right now. I think he was asking $380.

If you can stretch go the Vario, the Smart Grinder will substantially hold your BZ99 back until you upgrade it, cheaper to do it now.

Thanks everyone. It seems like the Vario is the best bet.

I picked up the Bezzera today. $200, immaculate and one owner since new who cared for it beautifully. I almost felt bad... but it seems absolutely perfect. Very happy

Sounds like a good bargin, bleek.
There is a sette 270w for sale in the hardware for sale section. Slightly out of your budget, but grind by weight...so easy for everyone!

I have ended up buying the Vario. It seems perfect to fit the bill of me being able to dial in precisely for our Ethiopian Longberry for espresso, and my wife being able to hit one button and be in the realms of a decent coffee.
If not Iíll be back with an all in one Breville very quickly...
    Thanks everyone.
