    weird dialling in issues

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Have a random issue with my grinders thats been happening for a while.
Every now and then ill find something foreign in my beans, I notice it as the grinding becomes much louder and there are white grounds in the dosing chamber.
Not sure what it is, possibly a green bean, underroasted bean or husk?

Thats not my concern though as its happened with other beans as well not just what i sell at the cafe.
What bothers me is I can be in the middle of a rush with grinders dialled in and as soon as it happens itll through my grind right out.
One shot its spot on, the next I cant even get the grinder to grind its that fine.
Last weekend it happened to my 2nd blend and I had to go 1cm coarser (which is a huge difference) on a mini to get close to where it needed to be.
Thats from one shot to the next, any ideas what causes this?
The grind will need to be taken back over time so could it be heat related?
As in whatever this light/white thing is is causing the blades to overheat as its harder to grind?

    Hmmm,

Sounds suspiciously like youve got some "bonus" rocks or concrete chips mixed in with your coffee :o..... might need to contact your bean supplier :-?,

I agree Mal, though I would think that Takeaims supplier has a green bean cleaner? *:-?

I have thought that but to me it looks more like plant matter rather than rocks or concrete chips, though the way it sounds it could be...still tasted ok too ;)

    Ahhh 8-),

Nothing like the flavour of finely ground granite mixed with ones espresso in the morning ;).... I do like the earthiness of a good mandheling but this might be a bit much :P,

    Mal.
