Niche Zero grind settings for CS beans

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I found no obvious home for this thread so I put it here.

This is my list of Niche Zero grind settings for CS beans, all roasted to approximately medium/medium dark (I aim at stopping as soon as I detect the end of FC on the Behmor 1600+). The grind setting is the approximate point at which I get as close as I can to a 30g pour in 25 seconds for 18.3g of coffee. It is pretty much useless as an absolute setting, but possibly handy to give a rough relative idea for when you need to calibrate a new variety.

Wow - that's a huge range (15-22) and a great reference for dialling in new beans - thanks!

Any niche owners able to share what setting range they use espresso and cold brew (immersion)?

Morning Mb21, settings on all grinders vary from one machine to another, its almost impossible to give much more than a ballpark idea, add to this the variables of type of machine, depth and age of roast, dose weight, bean type and personal preferences mean that its something your going to have to establish to suit your own requirements.

Good luck, its an interesting/absorbing activity, keep notes and only change one variable at a time.

I use 18 for my standard blend, 12-13 for CS decaf. Still dialling in cold brew but 60 seems to be pretty close, closer than 50 and if anything slightly too coarse. Also using about 35 for clever dripper, still fine tuning that too.
