    Grind by Weight Super Jolly

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Very simple adjustment of the pf fork, remove it and put it back on upside down, allowing a small precision scale to sit under the funnel. I put 3 small dobs of blue tack under the scale to keep it in place.
I like it because I can instantly see my weight without the need to move my cup over to the scale and back again if it needs a half gram added.
This is now actually better than the option Decent sells because the SJ has a programmable timer which I can set to half a gram less than I need if I want.
I believe the Decent “grind by weight” grinder just has a manual switch you have to turn off as you see the weight come up, unless I’m mistaken.
You do get the nice pf holder bracket with the Decent model which would be nice but not essential of course. This is a great simple option for those of us who already use a Mazzer E equiped with the pf fork.

I just wish that the Acaia Lunar was more affordable... I need a small scale like this which doesn’t auto-off in a minute.

    How’s your SJ going?

For some time I’d been wondering about doing an SJ or Major Deli grinderwith SSP burrs and then the stand and scales from Decent to replicate their grinder set. The deli models are usually several hundred cheaper than E’s.
