Yama Hand Grinder - thoughts?
I'm in the market for a little travel hand grinder that'll go well with my Delter.
While looking at the 'Precision Hand Grinder', I saw that this Yama one has stainless steel burrs too.
Just wondering if anyone has tried it? What are your thoughts? Any better / worse than a Rhino or Porlex?
Saw one of these when I was accidentally sent one when I ordered a Precision Hand Grinder (PHG). Not a patch on the PHG, even when considering the $60 price tag. Definitely worse than a Rhino/Porlex. Can recommend the PHG, at $100, as a great value-for-money travel grinder which is in another league from the Rhino/Porlex and which will go well with your Delter.
The other option not as solid as precision could be a Hario Pro Skerton or Slim Pro. They seem to have more solid grind handle and easier adjustment from the reviews.
Thanks all! It looks like there isn't a huge difference in size and weight between the PHG 15g & 25g models. Do you think the larger is worth the $50 difference?
Where are you setting a $50 price difference? I'm only seeing $30 between the cheapest option for each
Sorry, cheapest I'm finding the 15g model is $99.95 on a few sites. AB have the 25gm at $149.95. Talk Coffee do have it for $130 but with $15 shipping, I may as well grab it from AB and add some accessories on.
