    Help! Promac Club issue...

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi guys. I haven't posted on here for over ten years at least.. But I've got the coffee bug again 😊
Basically I bought a second hand Silvia and Promac Club a few years ago, had a bit of fun then it went into storage.
Recently I've fired them up again and back flushed and descaled the silvia ready to go along with new group head gasket and screen. Works great. I understand now about the temp surfing which is helping heaps.
The Club is more than capable of grinding too fine. But now I've read the manual, and read about other peoples grinder settings, it seems backwards to me.
The Club grinder settings range from zero to 90. The manual says to rotate the adjustment wheel clockwise to go coarser. If I rotate the wheel, it goes more fine... So on mine zero is the coarsest and 90 the finest... And I use setting 86ish.
Why is it like this? Has somebody previously had this apart and not assembled it correctly? Feeling confused.. TIA. Sam

would you rather people with no idea chime in? this sounds like a very esoteric ‘problem’ to have.

Plenty of people would have changed the burrs in their grinder. I just want to know if they're put in upside down or something, if it could be the reason mine grinds fine at high numbers instead of coarse.

I don't think the problem is the question you are asking, it's the lack of any supporting information / pics / whatever.

How is anyone to know what has happened to your grinder on the information given in your post?

That's not possible, the adjustment knob changes the distance between the burrs having them upsidedown wouldn't change that. There are some burr sets that have different burrs for the top and bottom, but most are the same. To change which numbers are high or low your quote need an extra gear to reverse the direction (or over less gear).

I hadn't heard of your grinder until your post, I don't know how many people you think own these but it must be less than 1 out of 256 people. If people have experience they will comment, otherwise you'll get silence. I know it can be frustrating but it's better than getting as much of replies from people who have never even seen what you're asking about.

The club is similar to the rocky, just bigger.
Promac is owned by/affiliated with Rancilio, has been for years. I didn't think its necessary to attach a pic of the adjustment wheel...
Nevermind guys. It works, my problem is not really a problem as such, just a curiosity, and I thought someone out there might know more than I do.
