    Hi All,

So i have two options available to me. I guess the most important thing to me as far as these two options are concerned would have to be grind retention and grind quality, i appreciate that you may have to accept one as a negative to have the other

near new Fiorenzato F4e for $600
    OR
15 month old Eureka Olympus 75e for $1200

If you are too worried about grind retention then go for the Eureka Mignon Specialita or other Mignon or a Niche Zero.

I personally wouldn't worry too much about retention as long as you use the grinder daily. I think retention is overhyped baloney in most cases except where the grinder isn't used often and in this case it would require a purge that is all.

I would go with the Olympus as it is the better grinder but both will do the job and the Fiorenzato is half the price.

The Fiorenzato F4e chute design retains some grinds. Ive seen total retention quoted at 9g, has 58mm flat burrs, is relatively quiet

The Eureka has retention of around 2g, 75mm burrs, noisier than the Fiorenzato

As for grind quality, both seem to get good reviews, however for me, bigger is better, and Eureka do make great quality grinders.

The 75mm burr set used by Eureka gets excellent reviews across all the Eureka 75mm grinders

Is it worth the extra $$.... if you can afford it, I would say yes

Good luck with which ever you choose
