How to remove base plate on Super Jolly?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi,

Decided to remove the fork on my super jolly. Screws were attached by nuts on the inside of the chassis (discovered this when I heard them drop to the base of the grinder) I have tried to remove the base plate to retrieve the loose nuts, but cant seem to move it. Have removed the 4 feet but it wont budge. Do I need to use more force? Please help..

Hehe -- deja vu! Have a look at this thread

As I remarked there, Ive successfully done this to my Mini; the only catch is the anti-tamper screw. Does the SJ have one of these?

Have discovered that you need to remove a fifth screw that retains the spring for the grounds plate. This was an unusual type of screw with a star type head which I didnt have a tool for but I just turned the spring around which loosened the screw. All resolved now. :)

Sorry Simone, should have read your post a bit more carefully. Yes thats what it is, some sort of anti tampering screw I guess but it wasnt too hard to get by it.
