    Iberital Mod: An Indicator

The Iberitals infinie adjustment is convenient, probably somewhat over the top unnecessary, but most of all, a nuisance because there is no setting indicator.

The (cheap and simple)solution: a paper clip, straightened into a long L-shape. *The foot of the L is taped onto the body of the grinder with gaffer tape.

When removing the hopper for cleaning etc, take note where it is in relation to the pointer and replace in the same spot.

Buy a doserless Rocky and you wont spend any time wondering whether you should have spent just a little more money and you will be joining a very large community of Rocky users.

It will have good resale value if you decide you prefer tea, because everyone knows what it is. It will also fit in better with that spanky HX machine you are day-dreaming about. ;)

    Cheers

Whoops! My response was intended for another thread; not a comment on Iberital.

    Robusto,

we just use a couple of spots of "white-out". One on the body of the grinder just under the hopper somewhere, and one just above it on the hopper, so the two spots line up together at the point of adjustment you have chosen.

If you reset the adjustment you just lightly scratch off the original spot of white on the hopper & replace it with another in the new position.

We do this to all cafe grinders even though they have numbered scales.

    FC.

Thanks, FC, excellent idea. Often the best solutions are the simplest. Just reaching for the white out now. Be right back.....
