    Iberital MC2 or Acasco iMini?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi all,

looking to purchase one of these two machines (or something in that price range). Ill probably keep it set up for espresso so wont be changing the settings much. Im not sure about going doser or doserless yet, but as I only drink a few cups a day I think doserless is the way to go for me.

So ive read loads of threads on here but im still not sure which of these 2 machines I should go for, I know neither is an excellent machine but im sure theyd be far better than my blade grinder :)

    Many thanks in advance

    Hi Aaron

You might also like to put the Ascaso i-home on your list of possibilities. A step up from the i-mini and we (Talk Coffee) currently have it on sale for $350.00.

Drop us a line if we can be of help.

    Hi,

Ill look into it! Im actually in the UK so I think the cost of importing it from you would be far too high, but thanks for the offer!

ive been doing some research and would like to add the Eureka / Conti MCF to the list, but cant find any UK distributors, and Reviews on this one seem mixed..

If anybody owns one of the above would lvoe to hear your thoughts :)

Yep, This forums much friendlier and better than those that serve this side of the world, you guys seem to have a good range of equipment avaliable to you, and I just checked the weather and its going to be 5 degrees Celsius this week. boo :(

I just heard from a friend who moved there recently that your weather forecasts go something like this:
"....with the occasional chance of brightness"

As opposed to here where we get the "... with the occasional chance of a shower."

    I dont envy you mate.

Oh and welcome to CoffeeSnobs aaronb!

    Hi Aaron.

I have had in the last few months the Ibiteral Challenge and currently have an Ascaso I-mini (both doserless). Both do a nice job but lack the consistancy of grind of my big Cimbali grinders. Of the 2 you mentioned the Ascaso polished Aluminium is a nicer finish IMO. As far as internals go the burr carrier and burrs look nearly identical (read as maybe out of the same factory). The other to look at would be the Rancilio Rocky which by all accounts gives a little better consistancy of grind.

The main thing will be whatever you get make sure you can get local service. Also might just pay to tweak your profile and add UK ;)

thanks for the advice! yes these past 2 years we have barely had any summer, its just cold and rainy. Hopefulyl one day I can move somewhere warmer!

The Rocky is soemthing I hear good about everywhere, but they seem a lot more expensive than the ones I was looking at. It seems like a good investment though!

    thanks again

    GDay Aaron

Just to throw my 2 cents in! *You may want to look at a Compak K3T. *A few more dollars but a very consistant grind!

    Warm Regards
