Has Garanti and Toper Roasters - feedback

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi guys,
I am looking at getting either a Has Garanti or Toper roaster....
    Has anyone used one before?
    Are they any good?
Do many people in Australia use these?

    Any feedback most welcome!

    Cheers

    Yes Roastie,

Plenty of Garanti roasters all around Oz including the CS Grand Poobah (Aka Andy) and mine is also arriving tomorrow! *:D

CS brown beans have a legion of happy clients...

Garanti roasters have done brilliantly in the Golden Bean awards with many medals awarted for their product.

Used well, you can expect a great result....

    Chris

I have had a Has Garanti 2kg, and currently run a 5kg...they are a simple well built roaster....They dont have the bells and whistles some of the more expensive roasters do. If you want the extra fan, Will can order that model from the factory...

Stop press - I won a err...silver at the Sydney Fine Food Show...

    I recommend them...

    Cheers,

    Chris

Thanks for the feedback Chris. Are there many suppliers around to purchase them off and do they have plenty of locations where support can be provided, maybe a bit of a training course on how to use it?

So do you reckon the garanti is better than the toper then?

    Roastie;

Contact Coffee Roasters Australia (CS Sponsor) they are the importers, they should be able to give you lots of information.

Note: if you are NSW I now the agent pm me and will give you his detail, he is not a CS sponsor

Yep, Di Bartoli have the info there...

In my opinion, the Toper will give you a slightly better finish, but for significantly more money.

    They are both good roasters....

    Behmor Coffee Roaster
    Welcome to CS

There seems to be a little confusion over this.....I believe Mark from Coffee Roasters Australia may be an approved Australian importer of TOPER???????????

Leave it to Mark to clarify, or you to contact him.

Otherwsie you could contact the manufacturer and ask them who they deal through over here.

That said, I wouldnt like to give you the idea to try and import one privately through contacting them directly....there are enough threads in CS indicating that unless you know what you are doing or have the right contacts you will end up with a machine that is not a "plug and play" as it will need work to make it approvable and suitable for use here. That is where your Australian importer comes into it as he will import and make it all approvable and suitable for use in Australia for you to buy in "plug and play" form!

All of that said, I have a good relationship with TOPER and have a 5 kilo Toper as my "experimental" and small batch machine. It works an absolute treat!

    Hope that helps,
