Blend prior roast or after roast that is the question?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
What is CS opinion on blending beans. Do (should) we blend beans then roast the batch or should we roast several batches then blend after?
I watched a roaster roast the other day and he blended the greens then roasted.
I hope (know) this will create some more intresting reading.

I prefer to blend beans after roasting
    For one reason alone
Beans that peak at certain times after a rest/degas time is when I blend them

Some peak at 5 days some at 14 days

However I have roasted blended green beans when I know they both taste at there best at similar rest times post roast

Ive also blended them green and put them in a sealed plastic bag for a few days to equalise the moisture content before roasting.

Based on my Hottop roast times the roasts vary by several minutes to SC so post roast blended for me. Also the obvious not all beans give there desired traits at any given roast point or after any particular rest time.

example Robustas I have been playing with rest at least another week prior to blending with the others. :)

Agree with Koffee Kosmo, but would add that some beans take longer to roast than others - so one bean or t others roast will be compromised.

Big disclaimer though, I claim no great expertise, just a few observations.
