    What does AA stand for?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Being new to roasting CS coffees (got my starter kit yesterday thank you very muchly!) I got a few with AA listed after the names.

I have tried searching but to no avail, so can someone please let me know what AA actually stands for and means?

Actually peaberry is a desirable defect where only one seed grows within the cherry as opposed to the more common two found within one cherry.

Often peaberry are sorted out as they produce a different (nicer?) flavour profile.

From what Ive been told, a peaberry is a defective bean, found at the end of a stem, and forms due to a lack of water and nutrients. And the flavour from a peaberry is usually sweeter and more intense than the rest of the crop.

Im sure I read somewhere that peaberry beans are very desirable if you roast in a pan - since they will roll around nicely rather than staying flat side down and burning.

For the past couple of years my standard blend included 1/3rd new guinea peaberry...

They dont usually stay that way though..... ::)

During First Crack most of em will unroll and take on a normal coffee bean shape. Well, mine do anyway..... :P
