You mean 229-232 / 219-220?
Did 2 roasts yesterday, 350g Brazil original and 350g of Yirg. Used the new probe which gave much more stable readings than the wire one i used first. Easier to controll ramps etc. Much nicer looking roast with very little to no tipping. Roasted to CS 8-9. Cant wait to try them in a few days.
The one thing I have been finding is that i am not reaching 2nd crack until about 129-132 C :-? on both roasts, I tested TC in boiling water and it was accurate. I always thaught it was about 119 or 120 C
what type of meter reading device you using?
i use a PID and i had it on the wrong "setting" and was effecting the temp reading at anything +150. The TC on mine seems accurate to about +-1.5 deg now
haha yes i do mean 229-232 etc.
My brain today is just Fryed not roasted :)
Using a digitech Multimeter from Jaycar (about $40) and Bean Bay TC Probe.
Since posting this I have scrolled through a few older topics to find that some others have the same sort of temps recorded for FC and SC.
Proof is in the cup I guess.
Was just making sure i wasnt doing anything wrong. :-/
