I have been roasting with a Crazy Popper for a few years (and happy with the batch sizes as I only have one cup per day).
Im also very happy with what I am getting out, and have settled on a batch size that gets me consistently to second crack in around 10-15 minutes for most beans.
BUT I do have a question....my second crack is always accompanied by little discs coming off the beans. I understand this is something to do with a too high initial temperature, but I have been watching closely lately and the "cracks" always co-incide with a disc being launched.
So I am wondering if it really is second crack, or another variation of bean destruction. Any comments??
