Ive just tried a small benchtop convection oven as a roasting device. Mixed results. Work well as a pre roast device, with a popper use to finish the job. The oven will raise temp to between 200 - 210 but there are no cracks, and moving the beans about is problematic. Basically it heats the beans thru direct radiation, which causes inconsistent bean roasting. Still working on this, but interested if anyone else has tried this.
