    K.I.S.S. WOK Roasting

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Well I have played around with my i-coffee roaster with great results but read about "the old days" and also here some people who enjoy simple manual roasting...so out of curiosity threw some beans (about 200 grams) in a wok, put it on the side burner on my BBQ outside, adjusted the flame up or down depending on how fast it was roasting and stirred it continiously with my trusty wooden spoon... time to first crack about 3/4 of my beer... tipped it into the bean cooler when I finished the beer... not perfectly even but I was so impressed with the simplicity of it. I tell you outside of an enclosed roaster, that first crack scared the living daylights out of me.. main drawback was the chaf..

if anyone need some design information on building my roaster let me know ;D ;D ;D ;D

    Behmor Coffee Roaster
I dont think the type of wood makes a significant difference however it is vitally important to maintain the stirring motion whilst your sipping your beer. This is*difficult to do. Much like combing your hair whilst you are rubbing your tummy* :)
