    My home made roaster

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
This is my home made roaster. I used a car window wiper motor, PC power supply to power it on the 5V side. Stainless steel colander from KMart and used an old bass drum pedal for the bearings and linkage. I cut up an old microphone stand to hold the heat gun.

Ive had great results from this roaster.

    Hope you like it.

Awesome job. How much do you roast at a time?

    Great job RT!
Reckon with bigger batches you could possible even use a gas powered flame/heater of some description in place of the HG to get more grunt?

Im roasting at its full capacity, the heat gun works fine. I have notched and numbered the tube of the mic stand and move it out at set intervals during the roast to control temp.

The whole roaster hinges on the base. So i release a catch at the back and simply tip it forward into a sive. You can see my cooler in the background on the vid.
