Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
hey guys. ive been roasting in my corretto at home and i have noticed if i pour hot water over the ground coffee, most of the grinds sink to the bottom of the cup but with the really good beans at work they float.. could this mean bad roasting??

No. It could mean that more air/gas is trapped in the coffee, and/or a higher oil content and/or a lower water content.

you shold be concerning yourself more with whether what you're roasting tastes good to you, if it tastes good for you there's nothing to really worry about

    But could it be better???

I'm assuming you're comparing beans of similar freshness in terms of roast date??
