Does anyone know where I can purchase storage bags for green beans. I believe burlap or jute drawstring bags are the most suited for this purpose.

    Big ones ;D
    Sorry, to be serious though.
Any cotton or calico bag should be fine, I even used the wife units ham bag before my first bean bay.
    I now have spare bags.

Re: suitable bags for green beans

I bought 3m of calico for something like $1 a metre and made 8 x "large" and 8 x "small" bags - the large could hold about 6-7kg, the small about 2.0-2.5kg. That gave us a green bean storage capacity of 70kg for about $4 (and about 10minutes sewing - the first sewing Ive done since high school, I might add! Very easy). Of course, all but a couple of the bags are full now so Ill have to go round two...

    Cheers
    Stuart.

If you know someone who works for a bank, see if they can get hold of the calico money bags they use, i have some of these as well.
