One of the biggest changes in the new polling system is the freight.

We have dropped Fastway because... well... *they just werenít fast and they only deliver to limited areas of the country. * Freight to WA took at least a week, 3-4 days to QLD, 3-4 days to SA, 2-4 days to NSW and they didnít deliver to PO boxes or some major towns at all.

So we are moving to Australia Post Express. *This will ensure that the beans that we freight get to you overnight or the following day to ANY ADDRESS, ANYWHERE in the country and more importantly it will reduce the chance that they will sweat or spoil in between us and you.

CoffeeSnobs have struck a deal with AussiePost for some 5KG satchels. *YES, 5KG ones that are not normally available in Post Offices! *They cost $16 each but thanks to the contributions from our wonderful site sponsors *we will be selling them for $15ea and over time as we add more site sponsors I hope that the price will continue to get lower.

We will also continue to use the standard 3Kg express satchels ($10ea) for any orders under 3kg or a combination of the two sizes if needed (eg: 7.5Kg of beans = 5Kg + 3Kg satchels = $25)

So its a small price increase in freight costs for a much faster service and more *flexibility in delivery addresses.

    :)

    Andy, thats great.

I have found Aust Post to be very good even with normal freight,
and our local post office is an agency in a mixed business with VERY customer friendly hours, so if we arent home when the parcel arrives they hold it for us and we pick it up from the shop when we get home from work, no problem.

(I was a bit concerned with Fastway just leaving the bags at our front door, in full view of the street, and trying to get the mobile number of the local Fastway person wasnt that easy).

Ill be looking with anticipation tonight....
