Yep, this robusta has been weathered through the monsoon season in large airing sheds. The beans swell to a whopping 18 screen size before being hand sorted and bagged.

If this is your first CoffeeSnobs order (or your details have changed) please email the below information to: polls@CoffeeSnobs.com.au and then we will have the correct details for invoicing at the end of the polls. Fail to do so and your vote will be cancelled and your coffee offered to someone who missed-out.

    CoffeeSnobs Name:
    Real Name:
    Preferred name on the receipt:
    Email address for invoice:
    Delivery Address:
    Phone (MB or BH):

Note: the postal address should be somewhere that is attended during the day to avoid the delivery getting "carded" and you having to pick it up at a local post office or depot. Work, pub, local milkbar, grandmas house all make sense.

You could always start eating coffee cherries, and collect the seeds at the other end. Kopi Moso anyone?

Hmm...Monsooned robusta. Can you say 20mm of crema? Ive spent the lot this month, so I wont be able to partake in the (insert gasp here) robusta.

Have you cupped any of this Andy?

    Yeah... and I liked it!

I can see a couple of blends that this spicey little number would work well in.

...but hey, thats just me. You might hate it!

Heya guys, theres an article on pros and cons of robusta up on coffeegeek: http://www.coffeegeek.com/opinions/cafestage/02-01-2006

The article puts forward a number of views for and against. A lot of it is yes/nos from the big-name american roasters, though.

Hmm ... methinks that a robusta cupping session might be in order ...

    Cheers,

    Luca

I agree Luka on the cupping session... I know that a previous robusta that I snuck into a cupping session got rave reviews until people found-out what it was :)

I understand Granny that 2.5kg of something that you might not like is a lot of coffee. We all go through that stage in roasting and then one day, all of a sudden, 2.5kg is just the "end of the bag" and you are buying in 10kg lots.

BE WARNED... this hobby is VERY addictive. ;)

Not to mention the Betty Ford Clinic hasntr come up with a 12-step program to ween you off of home-roasting.

Geez, Ive really got to stop publishing such good ideas. Ill never strike it rich if I keep tossing out secrets like this.

    Poll closed.

Invoice will come soon and if everyone pays promptly then the coffee will follow soon after. ;)
