Monthly BeanBay GREEN Bean Release - SUNDAY 10th MAR 2013 - 8pm AEDT

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Monthly BeanBay GREEN Bean Release

    SUNDAY 10th March 2013
    20:00 AEDT

    8:00pm ACT, NSW, VIC, TAS
    7:00pm QLD
    7:30pm SA
    6:30pm NT
    5:00pm WA
(I'm pretty sure thats the correct daylight savings times)

The new release beans that will appear in BeanBay are:

    Rwanda Ruhuha $9.50/kg*
Rwanda Ruhuha grade 1. Super clean and well processed this dense coffee is another Rwandan cocoa bomb. Taken to CS9-10 on a slow ramp the acidity is tame and the cocoa and spices come to the front. As an espresso its mid bodied and balanced with a smooth mouth feel, in milk its even better. Great all round coffee.

    Brazil Yellow Bourbon $12.50/kg*
Brazil Yellow Bourbon Especial Reserve is a clean, washed and near perfectly processed Brazil coffee. Good body as an espresso with woody, savory tones and a fair level of sweetness to balance out the shot. Will work well as a single origin for the fans of Brazil coffee style or use it as very balanced base bean to a blend.

    Guatemala Jacaltenango SHB $12.00/kg*
Guatemala Jacaltenango SHB (strictly hard bean). Jacaltenango is in the northern end of Guatemala, near the Mexican border and even as a green bean this is full of fruit and sweet aromas. The same ripe coffee fruit sweetness appears in the espresso shot along with some green apple acidity that lifts the aromas. Stunning as a long black but also works well in espresso based drinks.

    * price per kilo packed in 2.5kg CoffeeSnobs cotton bags and includes the FairCrack $0.50/kg donation.

You can select direct shipping via Australia Post (express or road) and Star Track Express (air or road) along with some other options depending on where you live or you can collect your paid order from Morgan Street (when I'm there, late afternoons preferred).

    Pickup Points (one per state)
(only an available option for a couple of days either side of the sale date).

    QLD - "Simon T" - Brissy
    NSW - Erkochurch - Erskinville
    TAS - "ParaM" – Hobart
SA - Fiefys Specialty Cafe - Adelaide
    WA - "Greeman" - Warwick
VIC - 148 Arthurton Rd, Northcote (Sat 16th Mar 10:30-12:00 only) see below.

We hope to get beans to all the pickup points before: 22/03/2013

This delivery date is a best guess as we are often at the whim of couriers around the country. Generally when the beans arrive at the pickup point someone will post in this thread to let you know the time/date that you should meet for the pickup.

Please don't annoy the pickup points by asking for your beans before they let you know in this thread they are available for collection.

    Enjoy!

That's exciting and scary at the same time. Two minutes from my house and I need some beans. But I may pay for delivery just in case I accidentally buy something.

    Hi Chris

Is there a new Rocket Giotto Premium Plus on the market? Or is a Rocket Plus V3 something different?

    Cheers

    My apologies Jonathon,

I corrected Andy's typo and then made one of my own!

The Giotto is just at V2. No V3 mentioned and I'd think it will be quite some years yet before we see an update.

The R58 is their new project.

    Spam Alert !!!

    Andy,

Just noticed a "Green Bean Release" email in my SPAM folder (gmail account) 2 days after your posting.

Perhaps the trailing comment may have tripped a warning in their system:

"""(which is far safer than clicking a link in an email unless of course you really did just win $10,000,000)"""

Perhaps this looks like one of those Euro Lottery scams !!!!

You never know how many may miss your email.

    regards

    PS:
As with so many things these days, you have to be careful what you say and how you say it.

Google did not get your joke !!!

    You could be right there!

24,000 emails were sent out to the email address CS'rs have on the forum.

If you didnt get one the spam monster ate it (either on your machine or your ISP before it got to you)
This thead is always posted here at the same time so visit often and you will never miss the green bean release.

Gee...they had the V2 Rocket ready back in the 40's. The V3 will be a ripper.

The new V3 is rumoured to be caffeine powered, top secret propellant developed by joint North Korean-Iranian technology effort.

SA beans are ready to pick up @Fiefy's during weekdays from 1.30pm-3pm.

We are appreciated you are coming during the specific time due to the cafe high traffic during the other times of the day.

    See you guys soon
