Beanbay swapping is always a possibility.
Going 1/2s or 1/4s with someone?
Well, we can have the pickup at my place again if that suits.
How do people feel about having the pickup Friday afternoon?
I have to leave for work just after midday on Saturday 28th April.

Thanks once again for your kind offer.Friday is fine by me.
Ill be on the last day of holidays so a new batch of greens will cheer me up.
Count me in although I only bought 2.5 kgs of Ethiopian Harrar and 2.5 kgs of Brazil Monte Carmelo.Originally Posted by Corretto link=1176303498/0#6 date=1176475250
Ill bring the rest with me for perusal on the day.
Any chance to increase the variety is great.
Still school on friday... unless i can pick it up another time. What about sunday afternoon?
Great Ken. We can sort something out on the day. Hopefully :)
Coffeekid: Ill be working Sunday afternoon. However you still might be able to pop over Saturday or Sunday morning.
But well see what the concensus is on pickup time.
Although Im thinking of late Friday afternoon.
I can do friday arvo ;D
Friday is not good for me. Sat will also be tough as Im in sole parent mode. Sunday morning is best.
Alternatively, we can do my place on Sat, as I can tote the bub around easily enough. Im in The Gap and have a monster Pav to play with.
Whatever works is fine with me.
Both places are about the same distance from my place which is about 15-20mins
Yeah, it might be nice to have it at a different location :)
If youre happy to have it at your place Mark you get to set the day and time.
The beans are normally delivered on the Wednesday before.
A huge load of them! Last time they came in at 100 kg.
Is that a pavlova???? or a La Pavoni...either way we can have lots of fun.Originally Posted by Sparky link=1176303498/0#12 date=1176529494
Saturday arvo or any time Sunday is good and The Gap is nice and close too.
Belinda if you need a hand transporting the precious cargo my wagon is free of work junk so I can help if needed.
Thanks Ken, but the beans would be delivered straight to Marks place.Originally Posted by ramking link=1176303498/15#15 date=1176532245
Yes, a Pavlova would be nice [smiley=laugh.gif]

Ill see if I can whip one up.Although it may arrive in a green box....
Yep my place is fine.
Saturday is best. Sat Morning from 10 am -2pmish would be good for me. Or ther times by appointment.
The Pav is getting all excited by the prospect...
Sounds like a plan Cane Toads.
Sparky, please email me the address for the courier to send the beans. (work addresses are best if there is a chance that noone will be home)
Sounds great marks it is :)
I looking forwd to getting my hand on his pavs(both types :D)

Looking forward to meeting another local snob.
Of course I hope youll be bringing the "ultimate super extreme Coffee Cassette".... ;D
Having bean (get it?) away, I missed the entire bean bay!!! And Im finding it a little hard to justify the left over Blue Mountain!
However Mark, I do have a towel of Huons that was left here on the roast day. So maybe that can be my excuse for coming around anyway?
Really though I just want to the the Pav in action!
Did you really need an excuse to come along Meg? ;DOriginally Posted by meg-e link=1176303498/15#22 date=1176763533
Meg, dont expect too much. Ill be home alone with two kids, so my ability to host a gastronomic delight will be seriously compromised. I just hope to get the roast spot on so I can have some nice beans for the pav to chew on.
Meg hopefully well be doing another swap on the day so Im sure you can grab some new greenies.Originally Posted by meg-e link=1176303498/15#22 date=1176763533

Mmmm, better get the roaster out. It looks like new beans will be arriving tomorrow... ;) ;D
Wednesday is my guess there Mark ::)
They stop off along the way for a sight see and rest.
Maybe they got bored with the scenery. The beans are in Brisbane.
In the immortal words of captain James T. Kirk: "Bean me up Scotty"
So you have them already? does that mean we could pick them up this weekend?

Surely you jest??
that must be a record [smiley=beer.gif]
Yep the beans are in the house....
I was expecting the JBM to arrive in bags made of cloth of gold.... buy all I got was the the same old CS bag.....
A bit of a debacle with the courier making two attempts. Apparently he used the nano-knocking technique and no one heard him the first time. But after a few phone calls it all got sorted and the beans are here.
Anyone one wanting to pick up the goods tomorrow is welcome. If Andy hasnt already sent the PM with my address, just reply to this thread and Ill send a PM with the details.

Hey guys just a quick question as this is my first beanbay do i need to bring any bags or my invoice or anything to the pickup??
Nope. The beans are here with your name on them. Too easy.
Hi Segrave,Originally Posted by Segrave link=1176303498/30#42 date=1177112859
* I havent needed anything in the past so youll be ok.The beans are in white calico bags with the Snobs logo on them.
* Im off to pickup shortly as I want to see Sparkys roast in action.
Some beans are already on their way home. The good news is that both Ken and Adam will be back for next weeks pickup to participate in the festivities. Ken made it to my next corretto roast and Im glad it decided to perform up to my expectations with 1st crack at 10 min and the first snaps of 2nd crack at 18 min.... It is the lightest roast yet and will be ready for next weeks gathering. Im about to do another roast just to make sure I have enough to satisfy the masses.
Ill see the rest of Brisburgs snobs next week....
And Belinda, Ive arranged an armed guard for the JBM. A couple of the neighbours kids will be wielding light sabres... So beware.
If anyone needs my address for Saturdays bean pickup, just PM me.
Ill be home all Saturday, so I suggest 10am-2pm ish sounds good for the pickup.
I still have some of my home roasts around and the Pav will be waiting to be put into action. There may even be some cakes and possibly some impromptu roasting... Yeah Im hooked.
Any CSer is welcome to drop in, whether they have beans to pick up or not.
Yeah the more the merry-er :P
i am moving to hervey bay qld december 2007 are thier any coffee snobs in hervey bay that would like to make asocial contact cheers poddy66
