Sunday or Monday are fine for me.
I suppose its only rare if you dont live 10 minutes away.. :POriginally Posted by Andy Freeman link=1176303833/0#0 date=1176303833
Would be nice if I could teleport, then I wouldnt have to drive nearly an hour just to get there.
Only 30 minutes for me.Originally Posted by Flo link=1176303833/0#2 date=1176357332
Even though its not rare, its always a treat.
OK... rare as in a CS pickup has never been done there!
Please focus on the "Any prefered dates and times?" and not the word "rare".
If it a Saturday, the morning would work better for me. I personally would need to be out of there by 11am in order to get to the North Shore to play soccer. Otherwise I could drop in and pick them up any day but a Wednesday.
id prefer a weekend but can make it there any day if need be
Ummm... sorta like pulling teeth... keep going...
Currently we have Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat(morn)
a little narrower might be better
not too sure that one will sit too well with Pedro?!?!?
(PS: welcome to the 1000 post club)
Mondays fine then. Sunday/Monday are my only available days.
it seems like nunu is the one with the most restrictions on their time, so ill vote for Monday as well.
How many people are planning to pick beans up from Pedro?
Me! The original date proposed would be good for me..Saturday the 28th, but I cannot get there until the following Wednesday 2/5 if the 28th is a no go...(ah, the joys of shift work!)Originally Posted by Coffeechaser link=1176303833/0#13 date=1176781910
twas not a proposal as much as an ETA for the beans. The proposal needs to come from the members that are picking-up beans. The original date proposed would be good for me
Beans will freight out tomorrow morning, new ETA should be before Tuesday next week I guess but after it has left here its up to the courier.
Ill update the threads with tracking information when we have it.

Hi, its Pedro from Coffee Parts.
Thank you for all the support we have recieved from the CS community over the last few years :)
In regards to pick up times:
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
Saturday 10am - 2pm
If you are running late for some reason, give me a call on 0414 524 166 as I am normally here past these times anyway.
Thanks for letting me know the beans arrived Pedro, the courier was super fast this month.
The address is:
12 / 75 Corish Circle
Pagewood, NSW 2035
Thankyou to Pedro. Got my beans tonight! ;D
Wow... super speedy!
Oh..so theyre ready for collection now?
Seems so. Ill be by to pick them up Monday Pedro. Hopefully mid-morning if traffic allows.
Yes they are all there (now they are!).
The 3 cartons were all freighted at the same time from here and two arrived there yesterday with the third on tour of the big coathanger I guess.... it eventually appeared.
I am going to go and get mine today, so maybe I will bump into another cs member there.
Saturday suites me. Weekdays are out of the question, usually out of the state during the week.
I got my beans from Coffeeparts today. Was very easy as a pick up point. Got a park right in front of the door. The added bonus of the toll free period for the Lane Cove tunnel shaved some time off as well. Took me under 25 minutes from North Ryde.
So thanks to Pedro for using his business as a pick up point and for Andy for making it all possible. I got to pick up some espresso cleaner whilst there so saved freight on both beans and supplies as a result.
I even roasted up some of the Harrar I picked up, so all in all a productive day on the coffee front in my house.
A worthwhile excursion to Eastlakes to pick up the beans......picked up a few additional extras from Coffeeparts to add to my coffee experience....
I, like the many others, am extremely appreciative of the efforts of Andy and Site Sponsors and my preference is purchases from those people and businesses. Without the network Andy and others have built up the search for "quality" beans and equipment would undoubtedly be a hit and miss affair.
Well done to Andy and the team for the enjoyable experience.
Happy to help!
Pedro thought that the car parking and good access might be good for Sydney CSrs doing pickups. So far its all positive feedback which is a great sign.
collected my first purchase of greens from Coffee parts today. All in all a very smooth process, so thanks to Andy, Pedro and the lovely young lady in Coffee Parts wgo got the beans for me.
All i have to do now is work out how to roast them! I think that Gene Cafe has just moved up a few spots on my shopping list ...
Oh Andy what have you done!
I have only just logged on to find that the Sydney pickup is now in Pagewood. I guess you were not to know that my girlfriends parents live literally just around the corner *:(
Now, what excuss can I possibly make to get me out of this? I will have no choice but to visit. This means certain anzac biscuits and perculator coffee.
Could be worse I guess...just can not think what at present.
Seriously though Im happy to drive anywhere to pick up green beans. I just need to remember to upgrade my vehicle fire and theft insurance before I load the Blue Mountain (could be used for hard currency) beans into the wagon.
Well then Dr V , I guess its a lucky thing that no other csrs know where you live ::) ;)Originally Posted by Dr. V link=1176303833/30#30 date=1177409262
Easy fixed... drop dear GF off at the outlaws house while you just nip over to grab the beans. By the time you have a poke around Pedros Palace and drool over the toys, grab a coffee and wander back she will be ready to leave and your stop will be short.Originally Posted by Dr. V link=1176303833/30#30 date=1177409262
...either that or the spare room will be ready for you to stay the weekend.
